Andrea DeMarco hails from a rural community in West Virginia, where she attended West Virginia University. She completed her veterinary degree at Mississippi State University and began her career as a mixed animal veterinarian south of San Antonio, Texas. While she loved the variety of mixed animal practice, her favorite cases were the more involved medicine and emergency cases. She eventually made the switch to solely emergency medicine and moved back home to West Virginia to join a 24 hour veterinary hospital. There, she was able to focus on more complex medicine and critical care cases, as well as emergency surgeries.
She moved to El Paso in 2018 and joined the El Paso Animal Emergency Center in 2019. She lives with her husband and several dogs that have joined her one by one from all over the country. In her spare time, she enjoys mountain biking, camping, all things outdoors and quilting.
